The Ashford Club story is being written by people from all walks of life that seek a better life in a better place. From families with young children and pets to graduate students, working professionals and active retirees, Ashford welcomes everyone to an atmosphere that is warm, inviting and rich with tradition.
Many of these enjoy the short walk to Tallahassee’s culturally resurgent midtown area, which features landmarks such as the Tallahassee’s quaint Little Theatre, a farmer’s market, art galleries, gourmet restaurants, coffee house, wine bar, art-house movie theatre, banks and bookstores. The neighborhood is also home to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and the City’s finest schools, including the distinguished Betton Hills Preparatory and Seminole Montessori schools.
Back at Ashford.....how does a relaxing yoga session or workout in the Ashford Health and Fitness Center sound? For family-fun gatherings, Ashford has many picnic-table and grill ensembles that offer a delightful get-together. Other treats include:
The Ashford Club’s rich sense of tradition is rooted in the heritage of Betton Hills. Each of the five buildings is named after the best-known and historically significant streets in the neighborhood. That same communal spirit leads many a resident to leave notes on our door, expressing gratitude for our history of dedicated care.

Such are the “extra mile” stories at Ashford….like the resident who was delighted to see her mail delivered to her door after returning from vacation….or the kindness of the maintenance man who does the laundry for our oldest resident….or management’s “embargo” on early-Saturday construction noise during recent property renovations. Where else does a community treat its residents as family rather than customers?
